LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Kinsley Murray, the nine-year-old who rose to fame on social media earlier this year for her questionable performance of the national anthem at a Pacers game, has returned to the stage.
This time she took the spotlight at the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) in Las Vegas, captivating a packed house at the Thomas & Mack Center with her performance on Friday, December 6.

Kinsley Murray’s rendition of the national anthem during an Indiana Pacers game in February this year had sparked much discussion on social media.
Her off-color version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” during the Pacers’ game against the Toronto Raptors on Feb. 26 went viral, prompting memes and critical commentary from viewers who found her interpretation of the anthem subpar.
Despite receiving negative feedback, Murray’s parents and supporters continue to support her and praise her courage for performing in front of a large audience at such a young age.
After moving past the viral national anthem incident, Murray returned to the big stage at the National Finals Rodeo (NFR), a week-long event that drew rodeo enthusiasts from across the country. This year NFR started on December 5. The exciting promotion lasts until December 14.
She was decorated from head to toe in red, white and blue, complete with stars and stripes. Given the western theme of the event, she nodded to the cowboys in attendance wearing a glittering cowboy hat.
Murray once again performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” before Friday night’s rodeo events began.
